Films can make a hotel, a station, a beach, or an ordinary street feel unforgettable. MovieGeo starts with that memory. Each question gives you a film title and a short description of a recognizable scene. Your job is to find the real place where the featured scene was filmed.
It is part movie quiz and part map game, but there are no multiple-choice answers. You can use film knowledge, geography, architecture, landscape, weather, or a good hunch.
Why filming locations?
A story may be set in one place and filmed in another. A fictional hotel can be a real mountain lodge. A faraway planet can begin in a desert village. A city can play itself—or quietly stand in for somewhere else.
That difference is what makes filming locations interesting. After every guess, MovieGeo reveals the featured place and adds a short note explaining how it appears in the film.
Made for a short daily break.
The daily game contains seven scenes and takes about six minutes. Everyone receives the same challenge, with up to 5,000 points available for each answer and 35,000 points for a perfect game.
Our questions favor memorable scenes, clear filming evidence, and locations that work fairly on a world map. The question library is reviewed by hand, and important distinctions between a real location and a studio set are recorded before publication.
